Today I’m going to tell you how to lower your cholesterol in four weeks without the use of prescription medications. I’ve helped many patients with high cholesterol over the last 36 years. Once case was a man in his 40s who came in feeling miserable with fatigue, insomnia, brain fog, digestive issues, high blood pressure, hyperthyroidism, and was overweight. After running labs, amongst other things, his cholesterol level was high at 332 mg/dL.
Cholesterol dropped 117 points in 4 weeks
After four weeks of following the FreeDiet® and using specific supplements, his cholesterol dropped from 332 to 215. I’m going to tell you how we did that, as well as which lab markers we monitored for cardiovascular health.
In addition to his cholesterol lowering 117 points, his ferritin dropped 50%, insulin dropped 55%, and he lost 16 pounds. His inflammatory marker, CRP, was down 72% to a normal level. He noticed improvements in fatigue, digestive issues, insomnia, thyroid function, and he met his ideal weight. At this point he was feeling great.
The FreeDiet® and Supplements for Healthy Cholesterol Levels
I have developed what I call The FreeDiet® because it’s free of gluten, grains, sugar, yeast, dairy, eggs, soy, legumes, nightshades, and processed foods. That’s for phase one of The FreeDiet® and for a copy of the FreeDiet® phase 1 food chart, you can click here.
The FreeDiet® starts with a smoothie for breakfast, which includes water, berries, FreeDiet® protein, coconut oil, FreeGreens™, ground flaxseed, and psyllium fiber.
Lunch and dinner are very simple with a protein—choice of meat, chicken, fish—and plenty of vegetables, along with healthy fats like olive oil or avocados. Avoid snacking if possible, and drink plenty of filtered water throughout the day.
For supplements I recommended what I refer to as the Functional Five™: multivitamin, fish oil, vitamin D with K2, magnesium, and probiotics. CardioMetaboliX™ is a supplement that contains berberine and alpha lipoic acid. Berberine is very important for supporting healthy cholesterol levels, insulin, and blood sugar levels. Curcumin is important for supporting healthy inflammation; Zinc, Vitamin C with bioflavonoids, and NAC (n-acetyl-cysteine) all contributed to the drop of over 100 points of cholesterol in four weeks.
